At Atelier Sauveur, every step of the process takes place in-house. From the initial conversation to design, prototyping, and material selection, every creation is developed and crafted within our own atelier. As a proud holder of the HIB label (Handmade in Belgium), the atelier is deeply committed to local craftsmanship, preserving, practising, and sharing artisanal expertise.
From Craftsmanship to a Sustainable Story
Atelier Sauveur stands for quality and genuine craftsmanship. Our skilled leather artisans work entirely by hand — from the first sketch to the final stitch. Each hide is used to its fullest to minimize waste, and we favour vegetable-tanned leather from Europe, ensuring both exceptional quality and transparent sourcing. Every creation reflects not only artisanal excellence, but also a responsible and a sustainable journey.

Atelier Sauveur values both people and materials. Our primary material, mainly vegetable-tanned leather, is durable and naturally sourced, ensuring high-quality pieces with a long lifespan. Waste is kept to a minimum by transforming leftover leather into new creations.

By focusing on bespoke work, we avoid overproduction: leather stock remains limited, and residual materials are reduced as much as possible. An ethical production process, built on respect for people, resources, and the environment, lies at the heart of our mission. Atelier Sauveur actively participates in sustainability initiatives, such as the livinglabproject from TransFormMakers. From this collaboration emerged a co-creation with designers Fien Vertriest and Febe Coppin, resulting in an authentic leather object crafted from a collage of remnants, a piece with a story, rooted in craftsmanship and renewal.
